“It was so special, thought out and romantic!”
WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
We met in high school, but didn’t talk much. We re-connected in April of 2020 and have been together since!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
We went on a walk at Stackhouse Park with my (Kylie) dog, Benji.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
We love eating together- trying new restaurants or cooking at home! We also love traveling together and spending time with our puppy.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
Kylie: Tyler came into my life when I least expected It and I instantly knew he was the one. I grew up as a dad’s girl and had high expectations for my future husband, Tyler has exceeded them all- he’s supportive, hard working, a family guy and is the most caring person I’ve ever met.
Tyler: We went on a few dates and everything just seemed right. I felt welcomed by her family from the start, and I saw the way she got along with mine. We’ve been best friends ever since our first date. After a few months of dating I remember telling my now, future groomsmen, that I knew I was going to marry her.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
We were on Tyler’s family vacation in the Outerbanks and I thought we were all getting ready for family beach pictures. As we were walking down to the beach, Tyler had his laptop set up with a video for me to watch (everything leading up to that moment- going to jewelry stores, picking out my ring, talking to our families about proposing etc.) and then he walked me down to the beach where he had handmade wooden letters spelling out, “marry me” with my favorite flowers. His whole family was there watching! It was so special, thought out and romantic!
WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
October is our favorite month, we are envisioning a cozy and romantic night. Lots of white, greenery and flameless candles along with good food and dessert. The most important thing for us is that our family and friends are there to celebrate us.
WHY THE WILLOW?
As soon as we heard the news of The Willow being built, we knew we would get married here! The inspiration pictures they posted fit our vibe and aesthetic and we loved that It is so close to home for all of our friends and family to come. It also just worked out perfectly that we love Flair of Country food!
