“I never wanted to be anywhere except with her doing whatever idea she thought up that day.” – Michael

WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
We actually met on a dating app in August of 2022!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
We met at Roxberry Creamery for ice cream and then had a movie night after we determined neither of us were serial killers. We both ended up with Covid a few days later (completely Michael’s fault of course) and spent our quarantine hanging out and FaceTiming. We have been inseparable ever since.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
Michael and I love hanging out with our families, whether it is for a game night, sharing a meal or going out for drinks! We also like watching horror movies on the couch with our labradoodle, Lola.

WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
I knew Michael was the one after seeing how close he is with his family, because that is something we both value. He has always been easy to talk to and be goofy with.

I knew Monica was the one after experiencing the happiness and pure joy she brought to my life. I never wanted to be anywhere except with her doing whatever idea she thought up that day.

HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
He proposed on a Saturday night after we got home from having dinner and drinks with his sister and brother in law.
A few days before the proposal, Michael told me to look on the front porch when I got home from work. It was a beautiful bouquet of peonies from 1(800)-flowers. That Saturday morning, he told me there would be another surprise. I was suspicious until a box of Shari’s berries arrived. At this point I was thinking Michael must have found some coupons he was trying to use up. Little did I know, he had planned to hide the gifts and use them to propose, but they both arrived while he was at work. It ended up adding to the suspense and making it more of a surprise!

WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
We want to see everyone on the dance floor! Celebrating with our guests and making memories are the most important things for us.

WHY THE WILLOW?
While we were touring it just felt right! Other than the building being absolutely gorgeous, it is also practical. It makes complete sense to have the kitchen in house to ensure the best quality food. Corey was telling us how they wanted everyone to feel comfortable while at The Willow and we most definitely did.
