“When we think of our wedding day, we envision a beautiful, bright and colorful summer day! We would love nothing more than to spend such a sentimental moment under the sun with all of the people we love.”
WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
It would be hard to pin point an exact time and place. We met through mutual friends around 15 years ago in middle school. After being around each other on multiple occasions, we quickly formed a great friendship where we became inseparable throughout high school and so on.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
This would also be tough to answer! Our relationship did not develop traditionally since we were best friends for so long. Our first serious trip together when we acted more like a couple than friends is when we went to Las Vegas for her 21st birthday.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
Our favorite thing to do together is exploring, planning small trips, and doing anything out doors. We always plan a few trips a year to a new state park. We love to go on hikes, find rivers and waterfalls to see, or spend weekends out at Raystown camping and boating with Devon’s dad. Though we could be happy sitting outside and cooking out with family.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
I knew Devon was the one for a very long time, there was this feeling that there was something between us that was always just meant to be.
I knew Tia was the one on a vacation to Myrtle Beach with her family. Although the feeling had been building for quite sometime before this moment. I already had a pretty good relationship with her and her parents, but it was one of the first times that I got to open up to her brothers about the way I truly felt about her. They questioned me one night while she was sleeping about what was going on between us and that’s when I said I was falling in love with her the first time.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Devon proposed to me in Oia Village in Santorini, Greece. We were on a destination cruise with my parents and some friends. During this stop, we walked the beautiful town with its labyrinth like walkways, saw the white washed houses with the famous blue domed roofs. On the edge of the island was an overlook where he had me turn around to “take a photo of me overlooking the cliff side.” When I turned around, he grabbed my hand and got down on one knee and proposed to me with my parents and friends all there to experience the moment.
WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
When we think of our wedding day, we envision a beautiful, bright and colorful summer day! We would love nothing more than to spend such a sentimental moment under the sun with all of the people we love. The most important thing for us is being close to home, where we can be surrounded by all of the people who have supported us every step of the way.
WHY THE WILLOW?
When we first saw The Willow we knew it was the perfect place for us. We love the modern look of the venue itself. We also wanted to be close in vicinity to our hometown, family and friends. This makes travel and accommodations more convenient for everyone. Also, after touring with Corey we were so inspired by the vision and small detail he put into making this venue stand out from so many others.
