WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
We grew up knowing of each other, but officially met in 2018 after Galen was very persistent in wanting to take me on a date!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
Our first date was at Heinz field for a Steelers. After months of “talking”, he bought us tickets and I figured if we both share the same love for the Steelers, then this could be our last first date! The whole game we laughed, cheered, and even shared a kiss when the Steelers scored their first touchdown and the rest is history.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
We have an English Cream Golden Retriever, Raelee, who is our world. We love to take her on trail walks and to the water. When we aren’t with Rae, we enjoy trying new restaurants, spending time with family, especially Danny Boy, and going to Steelers games where it all started!
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
From our first date, we became inseparable. We have always supported each other, prayed together, and have given each other true unconditional love. Most of all, we share the same values and dream of having our own family. Life is meant to be spent with your best friend and we are so blessed to finally tie the knot.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
I was going to dinner with my best friend, Ali, at Grandview Saloon. Little did I know, they had planned the most magical proposal waiting for me on the top deck with lights, flowers, candles, and some of my favorite people! When I turned the corner and onto the deck with my future husband standing there, it literally brought me to my knees from such surprise and excitement. Talk about an amazing best friend and future husband!
WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
Fall is our absolute favorite season and that is why we chose October with the beautiful leaves. For us, the most important part of our day is saying “I Do” to spend the rest of our lives together while celebrating with our families and the ones closest to us. As long as we have the ones we love there, good food and music, and a massive cookie table it will be the best day!
WHY THE WILLOW?
When we heard Corey and Mindi were planning to build this amazing venue right in our hometown, we knew our reception had to be at The Willow! The modern, industrial vibe on land with such a breathtaking view was right up our alley. Five years together and it will be ready just in time for our 2024 fall wedding was perfect timing and we couldn’t be happier to celebrate at such a lovely place.
