WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU MEET?
We had known of each other through the volleyball community prior to “officially” meeting about 3 and half years ago while out with mutual friends in Pittsburgh.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR FIRST DATE!
Our first date was at Redbeards in Mount Washington. We had dinner and drinks then met up with friends afterwards.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO TOGETHER?
We enjoy being active together and working out, riding bikes, playing volleyball, and spending time outside with our dogs. When we aren’t feeling so determined, our favorite thing to do together is to stay in and relax while watching a good show on tv with our pups.
WHEN DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS THE ONE?
Charlie knew Bre was the one when he realized how many common interests they shared and how important family was in both their lives.
Bre knew Charlie was the one when she saw how much he loved her dog and treated her like his own.
HOW DID HE PROPOSE?
Charlie reached out to Bre’s friends in order to draw up a plan to get her to travel home for the weekend. Bre agreed to meet her friends for dinner on Friday March 24th. Charlie told Bre he had plans with his friends that evening in Pittsburgh. Before meeting her friends, Bre stopped at her parents house to drop off her dog. Little did she know, Charlie was there, ready to propose. In addition to a ring, he surprised Bre with a puppy dressed in a bandana that said “will you marry my dad?” Both Charlie and Bre’s families were there and worked together to pull off the big surprise. He incorporated Bre’s dog by dressing her in a bandana that said “I loved her first.” It is safe to say Bre said 100000% YES!
WHEN YOU THINK OF YOUR WEDDING DAY, WHAT DO YOU ENVISION? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU?
When we think of our wedding day we envision a big celebration with good beer and delicious food. The most important thing is to be able to share our happiness and celebrate our love with our closest friends and family.
WHY THE WILLOW?
We chose the Willow because we love the modern farmhouse vibe. It is a fair location for both of our families, accommodates our guest count, and has many easily accessible places to stay afterwards.
